Stepping On is a falls prevention workshop that meets for 2 hours a week for 7 weeks. Trained leaders coach you to recognize your risk of falling and help you build the balance, strength and practical skills you need to avoid a fall.

You will meet with physical therapists, vision specialists, pharmacists, and community safety experts who help you avoid fall hazards, make your home safer, and make your body stronger. You’ll regain the confident to stay active in your community and the things you want to do.

The ADRC of Oneida County is hosting a Stepping On workshop Wednesdays May 8, 2019 through June 19, 2019. Please call 715-369-6170 to register. This workshop is sponsored by Security Health and the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Living.

Living Well with Chronic Pain

You’re not alone.
Healthy Living with Chronic Pain can help.

Each person with chronic pain is unique. There is no one treatment or approach that is right for everybody. There are a few things you can do to feel better. These things will not eliminate pain, but they will help you to better manage pain, and help you to become more active and more involved in life. With knowledge and experimentation, you are the best judge of which tools and techniques are best for you. The responsibility for managing your chronic pain day-to-day rests with you, not anybody else. Many people can be of help to you — your family and friends, your health care team. But, in the end, the responsibility for self-management is yours.

Please register for this six week course starting Monday, March 25, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
